Board Member Bio

Allen McCloskey

A member of the Yurok Tribe, born and raised in Humboldt County, California, Allen attended Trinidad Elementary School and graduated from McKinleyville High School. Allen went on to study at College of the Redwoods before transferring to the University of Washington, Seattle, for a brief time of study. Allen's areas of academic and professional discipline are in the field Industrial Hygiene/Industrial Relations.

Allen currently serves as the Chairman of the Board for the Native Springs Foundation as well as the Executive Director of Foundation Operations. The Founder of Native Springs Water and Native Springs Foundation Allen has dedicated his life’s work to the protection of Pacific Northwest waterways, salmon protection and restoration, and cultural preservation for indigenous peoples. Allen has spent the last several years fighting for the removal of the dams on the Klamath River and for the protection of Klamath River salmon and other river species as well as for the preservation of Klamath River Tribes.

Aside from his work with Native Springs Foundation Allen has dedicated countless hours of service to the local community. Allen's giving of time and his financial sponsorships and philanthropic contributions to local programs and projects have contributed to both local and regional communities.
